Reel-to-Reel

The near-zero clearance and exacting tolerances for fine-blanking dies can produce a high quality, net-shape, part-when the dies are relatively new. However, over time the dies wear. This often results in metal pull-down, creating an extruded edge on features of the part. It is the malleable metals that create the undesirable burr.
